About Goodwill Staffing Services

Goodwill Staffing Services, Inc (GSS) is a Community Rehabilitation Program operating under a state contract designed to assist persons with disabilities in finding work that could lead to full-time employment. Goodwill Industries of Central Texas piloted the project in 1995 and experienced such success, the program went state-wide in 1999. Today GSS is one of the largest and most successful staffing firms in Central Texas and offers job opportunities not only in state agencies, but county offices, municipalities, the transit authority, and numerous private businesses.

Although GSS' focus is to assist people with documented medical conditions, there are times when we can also provide job assistance to persons with other barriers to employment such as job seekers over the age of 50, dislocated workers, welfare recipients, persons chronically unemployed, those who are chronically poor, and the homeless. We are located across from the Wal-Mart SuperCenter on the north side of the 183 service road, just east of IH-35.

IH-35 Driving Northbound

  • Exit St. Johns/Hwy 183 South.
  • Continue on the service road through the lights at the St. Johns and then 183 intersections.
  • After the Hwy 183 Intersection, turn right at the first street - Norwood Park Blvd. We are on the right hand side.

IH-35 Driving Southbound

  • Exit Hwy 183 South.
  • Take the u-turn beneath the IH-35/183 intersection and continue northbound on the service road - moving to the far right lane.
  • Turn right at the first street - Norwood Park Blvd. We are on the right hand side.
